Wow, this recipe blew my socks off ~ it was THAT good. Got it off an article in the New York Times. Heaps of spices, very aromatic and it produces the tenderest of chicken. If you love Indian-style cooking then this is for you.

Chicken in Mushroom Cream Sauce
A little something I once ate at a Parisienne bistro ~ chicken simmered in a mushroom cream sauce, served on rice. So quick and simple yet good enough for casual family dinners and fancy home entertainment.

Party Food : Oven Baked Chicken Balls
This is me trying to get into the swing of all things American, and doing my bit in conjunction with Super Bowl weekend. I understand that the food consumed on this day doesn’t rank high on the nutrition scale, so here is an alternative, in case you’re looking for one.

Ginger & Chicken Rice Porridge with Poached Egg
Ginger & chicken rice porridge is very warming, very filling and healthy. I used to hate it as a kid, but only because my Mom ruined it for me. Now, however, I am determined to rediscover this quintessential Asian staple and give it the recognition it deserves.

Party Food : Buffalo Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dip
Oh my god … how can anyone resist this at any party? I for one, am a chicken wing fanatic and cannot (will not) pass them up. Spicy and tangy oven baked wings coupled very nicely with a classic blue cheese dipping sauce. Mmmm, couldn’t have asked for a better choice for a party snack!

Hainanese Chicken Rice
Feeling very homesick for the comfort foods of home, namely Hainanese Chicken Rice. Used to be able to just pop down to the nearest hawker center to get my fill, but not anymore. Here in Europe I have to make many of these delectable dishes on my own, from scratch. Lucky for me, this isn’t a complex dish to recreate.

Homestyle 5 Treasure Soup.
There are not many Asian style soups that take my fancy as much as this one. Its thick and hearty; full of flavour and it brings back many comforting memories of home. This soup is an easy one-pot meal, and is what I crave when I am feeling under the weather or down with a cold. For a heartier meal I add glass noodles to the mix.

Spicy Chicken & Coconut Soup.
Had a craving for soup, but I didn’t want a broth … neither did I feel like having a heavy creamed soup. So I went fifty-fifty and devised my own version of Thai coconut curry soup. The ginger and lime leaves are so warming and refreshing all at the same time; the coconut milk gives it a creamy texture but not heavy. Perfect! A meal on it’s own, I must say.

Chicken Fingers & Mozzerella Sticks.
I call this the Kids’ Meal coz this sorta thing would go down really well with every child. The thing is I cook this for my boyfriend and he loves it. This recipe is easy, it’s fun and best of all it is economical and a whole lot better than buying the frozen stuff. This version is probably a lot healthier too since you know it’s got nothing in it but fresh (real) chicken meat and cheese.

Fuss Free Chicken Curry
Want to add a little spice to your dinner table? Look no further with this creamy lemongrassy mild curry. Serve hot with basmati rice, or with flat breads. Best of all this curry will taste way better the next day after its had some time in the fridge to develop more flavor, therefore its a great make-ahead dish ~ hence why it is called “fuss free”.
