A Tribute To A Life Down Under : Classic Summer Fruit Pavlova

Continuing on my journey into the culinary world, I am still perfecting my technique on classic recipes. Chocolate Fondants with Crème Anglaise.

I was thinking of a dessert to serve at a dinner party I am to be hosting at the end of the month. I wanted something quick and easy yet still had the WOW factor once it hit the table. This recipe fit perfectly and it ticked all the boxes. It’s cheap, easy, not fussy and it is awfully yummy. How can you argue with that? Serve with cold or warm custard or raspberry sauce and a dallop of cream … mmm! How can anyone refuse?

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes.

I love chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Can’t get enough of it. Then one day while browsing the internet I came across this recipe for cookie dough CUPCAKES! Had to try it and they turned out delish. These would be great for a birthday party, seriously. Word of caution tho : These are in no way low in calories.

Greetings one and all and welcome back to FoodFlurries.com 2012!! To kick off my first blog entry of the year, allow me to present Coffee & Cinnamon Scrolls, an all time Aussie favourite that can be found in almost any Aussie bakery or cafe. A delightful cake. I decided to try simply because it is so vibrant and psychedelic ~ and I was bored today. Crazy bright on the eyes, this cake oozes fun and is perfect for a tea party or a kids’ birthday. Make it as a whole or as cupcakes, whatever takes your fancy, this cake will be a crowd pleaser.
