I call this the Kids’ Meal coz this sorta thing would go down really well with every child. The thing is I cook this for my boyfriend and he loves it. This recipe is easy, it’s fun and best of all it is economical and a whole lot better than buying the frozen stuff. This version is probably a lot healthier too since you know it’s got nothing in it but fresh (real) chicken meat and cheese.

Light and citrusey notes seem to be the order of the season, here is a classic summer hit : Key Lime Pie. Zingy lime filling topped with luscious cream, all beautifully craddled in a biscuit crust. Who wouldn’t be a fan?

Everything is poured into a well buttered dish and baked. To serve it should be lukewarm, sprinkled with sugar for added crunch. A scoop of vanilla ice cream wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

Ahhh … charlotte. I don’t often see this dessert around in cake shops; but then again its probably coz I am shopping in the wrong kind of cake shop. I know they sell them in French and Italian cake shops. Charlottes are typically served cold with a fruit based preserve …

So my sister comes for a 2 week visit, all the way from Shanghai, and the initial plan was to rent a car to take her round the Netherlands visiting all the wonderful sights and sounds. I even made her a Google Map complete with markers no less! But one night over an Italian dinner spread it was decided we were scrapping the Netherlands grand tour (excuse me??) and heading down to the Med coast instead. So we hopped into our rental the very next morning and headed south.

It’s been so long since I treated myself to a nice cookbook, so July saw me break the budget and indulge in three books in a single purchase. I also bought Ozzy Osbourne’s biography … but he doesn’t count.
